Do you ever feel like Friday comes around and suddenly it’s Monday already?! The weekend slips by in the blink of an eye. I find if I’m not intentional with my time, it can be easy to wake up on Monday and think ‘I really should have made more use of the weekend’.
So, I’ve compiled 5 ways to get MORE out of your weekend!
1. Reduce social media useage- Perhaps introduce a limit to social media-ing on weekends? It’s a great way to make sure you’re more present with your friends and family, plus it’s good to have a break from staring at a screen.
2.Wake up earlier- It seems an obvious one I know but waking up earlier will give you a few extra hours of your Saturdays. It’s tempting to use it as a lie-in day and whilst rest is SO important, if you don’t need the extra sleep get that alarm set to 7 and go explore!
3. Make a weekend wish-list- Why not have a brain storm of some places you haven’t got round to visiting and each weekend go somewhere new? You’ll make loads of memories and have fun ticking off the list (plus you’ll get a load of instaportunity ;))
4. Get creative– Weekends don’t have to be full of expensive trips and activities to be fulfilling. Some of my best weekends have been spent in PJ’s surrounded by inks and paper (my happy place). Why not have a go at some calligraphy this weekend? Or do a spot of painting? Getting arty is great for your soul, it’s relaxing and you can make something to be proud of!
5. Catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while- Take a minute and think of someone you haven’t spent time with in a while. Someone’s face will pop into your head. The weekend is a great opportunity to reach out to an old friend. Why not organise a coffee if they’re nearby? Or a skype date?
