I am a 21 year old writer/ presenter/ tea-drinker and freshly graduated from the University of Exeter.
Most days you’ll find me with a book in one hand and a mug in the other. In my free time I love nothing more than exploring the beautiful Devon coastline.
Above all else I am a follower of Jesus and live for Him.
This is a place where I will simply be having a go, giving things a shot, and scribbling down words, ideas, tips and ramblings.
If that sounds good then make my day and subscribe… then make yourself a cuppa and have a scroll.
HOWEVER, if you happen to either have a real interest in my ramblings (or just too much time on your hands) and want to find out a little bit more about my heart for this blog then while the kettles boiling why not read on, the stories below…
So this isn’t my first blog, I’ve actually been posting my writing online for a few years now. About a year into my previous blog, I completely lost my confidence. I couldn’t bring myself to share any of my ramblings for fear of judgement. It got to the point where, half out of support and half out of frustration, my best friend forced me to write a list of why I started blogging in the first place.
I remembered the joy I felt when hitting ‘publish’ on a piece I was really happy with. Above all I realised how much I missed the community feel of the blogging world. Over time my confidence grew and I felt ready to get writing again. With this new sense of purpose and vision I wanted a fresh platform to display my creativity, a place free from condemnation, where I felt a little more free to experiment and simply give this blogging thing another shot… and so EllaScribbles was born.
So here we are, you’re up to date. I’m ready to be vulnerable again, to share my thoughts, to trust God and have a go. If any of this resonates with you I’d love to connect with you and I hope we can encourage each other to be a little bolder.
