Are you looking for fun DIY craft ideas?
I love getting stuck into a creative project and making something for myself or others. There’s nothing quite like looking at something and thinking I made that.
Why not try out one or two of these crafts projects? (or go crazy and try all of them because you are the crafts master).
Pom pom wall decoration
My current addiction is pom pom making. The fluffy little cuties look great in a garland or as part of a wall-hanging. Yarn is pretty cheap and comes in a huge variety of colours so grab your favourites and get creating. Have a look on Pinterest for more pom pom inspo?
Handletter on an acrylic sheet
Looking for a way to get a pop of creativity and prettiness in your home? Grab yourself a piece of acrylic and letter a word or phrase of your choice. I used oil based sharpies and really enjoyed creating with them (which you can read more about here). The finished products can be found on my ETSY.
If you’re looking for something a little more challenging (and possibly able to make you a little money) candle making is a fun way to spend an afternoon. It’s pretty time consuming but not overly difficult once you get the hang of it. Jump on the hygge-hype by making some cosy candles to enjoy in your home. To find out how, check out my post on how to make candles at home.
Make some cards to send to friends
Try making some cards to send to friends and family, to say thank you, well done or simply just to remind them that you love them? Everyone loves getting a thoughtful note in the post and what’s more thoughtful than a card which you’ve made yourself? Grab yourself some card and get creating.
If you want a fun way to brighten up your home, you could create some bunting to hang up. To find out how, have a read of this post from The Happy Housie. Don’t forget to look for material which will compliment the colours in your home!
I hope you’re inspired to try some new crafts. What DIY projects are you working on right now? I’d love to hear about them, let me know in the comments 🙂
